(dictated at home 3 weeks later)
We did a tour of four Incan ruins. We were only able to get inside one though. That was cool though. It was a big circle. There were two entrances. You could go in one way and come out the way we went in, but we went in one way and came out the main way. It was neat in there but I don't know how to explain it.

Then we went to Crepes and Waffles and had lunch, but this time I had a waffle that tasted really good and I actually wanted to eat it instead of the crepe. I got the same drink--a chocolate shake, which was delicious. We knew about a book called Tintin, and we got a dessert called Tintin twice. It came with a chocolate bone the first time and a chocolate hammer the second time that I ate because it came with strawberry ice cream, and I don't like strawberry ice cream. But the adults and Jarek devoured it because they thought it was yummy. And our drivers ate with us. Then we had to say bye-bye to Lima.

We left for Juliaca, where we drove to Puno, where me and my Uncle Jonathan spent almost the whole night throwing up because of altitude sickness. They had pills for altitude sickness which had disgusting insides which was horrible, but they did make you feel better.

(dictated at home 3 weeks later)
On Saturday at Casa Andina in Lima, while my mom was taking a shower I got to go to my cousins' room. Their room was across the hall from ours.

My cousin Blake was having a first-class, second-class bed. But ours was the same. And he then started saying that the first-class guys got an individual chair, but then I said that the first-class guys get to ride on the train. We were pretending we were on a train. The first-class guys get to lay down on a bed and sleep!

Then we went to church in the hotel, and Jarek sings pretty loudly. He has a clear voice and the adults have a little bit of a raspy voice. His voice is good because it's clear, but it sounds a little bit strange among all the adult voices. It stands out and you can hear him more than other people because he also sings really loud.

After church we had Crepes and Waffles, which is one of their restaurants. The crepes I had had chocolate in them and chocolate ice cream. They didn't taste very good, and I couldn't cut through them or bite through them. The chocolate ice cream tasted fine, but the chocolate inside the crepe tasted bad.

We had my Uncle David's wedding at night and it seemed to take forever. We had a party at Maisa's house and we had a lot of fun there, but all we really did was sit around and drink Inca Cola. Well, that's what I did. And Inca Cola is one of their yummy drinks. It tastes like bubble gum.

Casa Andina, Lima (dictated)

We don’t know the rating of the stars on this hotel, but I would rate it a three-star, ‘cause it’s pretty nice.

We went to an Italian place and I had delicious steak, chewy though. We had ice cream after, but I did not like my ice cream! My cousin Jarek liked it, but he got a different kind of ice cream.

Peru is fun. The people seem really nice. One of our taxi drivers wasn’t allowed to sleep. That was a bit crazy. But still, I think Peru is fun.

We went to the beach and there were crabs. I tested how strong one of them’s shell was and it cracked when I threw a stone on it. There were little yellow crabs everywhere. On a big thing of rocks there were a couple of big black crabs.

There was an elephant at a mall that we went to, that when it walked, it actually did walk, it sounded like a bunch of knights marching in full armour. It was so fun! But I was a little bit afraid that I would fall off. But still I had a lot of fun in Peru.

I think everyone should go to Peru if they want a fun vacation.

Intercontinental Hotel, Houston (dictated)

We had a soccer game today. And we played the best team in the league and they beat us 3 to 1, but that proves that we were actually a good team because they beat another team 18 to 1, which was the team that we beat 13 to 1.

And we drove to Houston and are staying at a 4-star hotel and the beds look really comfortable and the TV said hello to me!

Jarek was spying on us.

I can’t believe we’re going to Peru tomorrow!
