Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving the entire table was covered in food, and everyone figured that we would finish all the food. Fortunately we had two Thanksgivings, which made it even funner! The team I was on won in the Bryce Bowl.

On Sunday I spent most of the day at Jarek's house playing on the trampoline. We were pretending to be people from one of our favorite computer games, Age of Empires III. We kind of replayed the campaign, except that we made it different.

And on Monday, me and my mom watched the movie Up. I think it was pretty good. Blake and Brian didn't like it, which I thought was weird.

New Lego Sets

On Sunday I ordered two lego sets--the AAT and the Assassin Droid Speeder. The AAT means Armored Assault Tank. They got here Wednesday, which is one before the earliest they were supposed to arrive, which I thought was pretty cool. They are both really interesting and they come with A LOT of mini figures.

I still am too afraid to do round-off/back handsprings now. I tried some on the tumble trak on Wednesday and then I started doing back flips, so I started deliberately not landing on my feet because every time I landed on my feet it felt like I was twisting my ankle.

Round-off/back handspring on the floor

On Tuesday I did a round-off/back handspring without a spot on the blue mats beside the tumble track! And then on Wednesday, I did a round-off/back handspring on the floor. In fact I did a lot of them. And then on Thursday, I kind of forgot how to do them. Also on Wednesday, I tried a round-off/back flip from the floor onto a mat in the pit, but I didn't land it.

Friday, October 22, 2010

Yesterday I built a large airplane out of legos. It was designed to kind of be a cross between an A10 Thunderbolt, or "Warthog", and some type of World War II bomber. It had a 360 degree rotating turret on top and enough room for possible 15 mini figures. It had a crate inside for storage and ten engines.

I also think I have my back handspring down full on the yellow trampoline at gymnastics.

Saturday, September 11, 2010

We're very excited about going on the Feast very soon. We had church at the ranch today, and me and Indiana had some fun playing with legos after church. And on the way back I drew a picture of a castle with wheat fields, corn fields, a watermelon field, a carrot field and a potato field being harvested. And there were some towers, too. It had everything from the gate to the keep and workers harvesting the crops and some guards.

Friday, September 10, 2010

On Wednesday night we went to eat Outback before the Feast of Trumpets, which was on Thursday. The services were at the Ranch, again, because Indiana's house was having some flooding problems and Lilly is sick.

On Tuesday we had another private lesson. I practiced back handsprings and back flips and mushroom circles. I think I have the back handsprings and back flips down on the trampoline.

Monday, September 6, 2010

Today me and my mom got to watch The Spy Next Door together, and I think she really liked it. I haven't asked her yet.

It took us one hour to find some pairs of gloves that I was going to use for gymnastics 'cause we could never find them at any of the other stores. And I lost one, so we had to buy the gloves.

And we also ate Chipotle, which is one of my favorite restaurants.

Friday, September 3, 2010

Today in the mail I got some books from the Schaeffers. They're DK and I really like DK books.

Yesterday we went to a different gym called J & R gymnastics, that's the gym I used to go to. I practiced back flips and back handspring, and yeah, I did back handsprings that night at Artemov Gymnastics.

Also in the mail, the movie The Spy Next Door came. I really want to see that one.

Saturday, August 21, 2010

Today church is in Lockhart.

We had French toast for breakfast. Yummy!

I built a cool lego thing. At first I thought I was building a boat, but then I changed my mind and started to build an airplane, but it still had the boat bottom. It was pretty cool. It was three stories tall, and it had a lego tv, a bed and a couch in there, as well as the controls. Captain Vein's personal suite is on the top floor.

Friday, August 20, 2010

I can definitely do a back lever now, and that's pretty cool.

Today I rearranged my favorite lego guy. He looks cooler now. I usually do that every couple of weeks or so.

We went to a movie on Wednesday. It was called Cats and Dog: Revenge of Kitty Galore, and it was about cats and dogs who work together to stop this evil cat, Kitty Galore. Kitty Galore was the ugliest cat I've seen in my life, and Diggs the main character is a German Shepherd, and he's a really cute German Shepherd too.

Lilly's family came to watch me do gymnastics on Wednesday.

Good day

This morning I woke up early, at 6:45 and I usually wake up at 7. So we go an early start on our routine, and we did all of school before gymnastics, which was insane, and when we came back all I had to do was afternoon prayer and Bible study and floss and brush my teeth and then I could have free time.

Saturday, August 14, 2010

I don't like journaling because it's boring. I can't think of anything to say. I don't think of anything to say when I don't like something!! That's all.

Friday, August 13, 2010

I colored two of my lego guys' faces with marker. Blue and red.

I almost did a back lever on rings at gymnastics. It's kind of like lying down flat, but with your arms up above your body, but you're hanging in the air. It's pretty hard. It's the first time I ever did it. And when I showed our coach, Vladimir Artemov, my floor routine he said, "Pretty decent." and he's an Olympic gold medalist! He won all-around in the 1988 Olympics.

Sunday, August 8, 2010

Yesterday at church me and Indiana played with play-do and I brought a few lego guys and we did some cool things with the play-do. We made casts with the lego guys. I built castle walls with the play-do, and then knocked them down, and I made several bears out of the play-do.

Friday, August 6, 2010

We practiced some back handsprings today on part of my mom's mattress. That's all I can think of.

Bad day

I'm not feeling very good right now 'cause I had a cut on my foot and then I reopened it doing crab walk, my rip is hurting really bad, and also I keep kicking my ankle which has a cut on it and that makes my ankle hurt!

Tuesday, August 3, 2010

Today at gymnastics I did the first two tumble passes on the Level 5 floor routine. A tumble pass is one thing across the floor. Everyone in the group except me was actually Level 5.

I'm really sick of catching up at school. I feel like my head is going to fall in half 'cause of doing hour after hour of math. I think I'll have to go to the hospital--the mental hospital!

Monday, August 2, 2010

Today at gymnastics we did splits on the mat and I did a full right split and held it for a minute, but our coach wasn't pushing me. I was just doing it on my own. In fact, he didn't even push at all. He just straightened my back. And we did rings and pommel horse and some other things. And I did two one and 1/4 circles. And we did some vaulting, and that's it. but the funnest part was after gymnastics we got Burger King. And a little bit before practice was over, I got a nice sized rip on my left hand, which isn't that bad considering I write with my right hand and I do better chin ups with my right hand.

Sunday, August 1, 2010

Yesterday church was at Aaron and Roxi's. Indian and Michaela weren't there because they were sick so it was just me and Lilly and Ian. We stayed until 8:00.

Friday, July 30, 2010

On Monday I did a front layout half twist off the tumble track into the pit. It was really fun. I only got to do one, though. And on Monday night we went to Chuy's with Uncle Jonathan and Aunt Crystal. It was delicious.

On Thursday night I started a book called the Mysterious Benedict Society it's kind of interesting, but I don't like it as much as I like Artemis Fowl.

I developed a new way to do a chin up called a bungee chin up. You put a couple of bungees, or you can just do one, over the chin up bar, stick your feet in the handles and just do chin ups. I did twenty at a time one time.

Back handspring and back flip

Last week I did my first ever unspotted back handspring. No one was spotting me! And after that I did a back flip without anyone spotting me! That was after the conference.

The conference was really fun. We went swimming in a 9-ft deep swimming pool. It was super fun. I think the conference was the funnest fun I've had this year!

Jarek just moved onto a 90-acre plot of land that's really big and cool. It has horses, a lake, even two ponds and a pool. Maybe three ponds, I don't remember. But it's really, really cool. There's a barn with horses in it, and the swimming pool goes from 4 feet to 9 feet deep. And they also have a trampoline and lots of forest and stuff. It was really, really awesome!

Jarek has officially moved now. We have to wait a few months and we might move.

Thursday, July 8, 2010

Today was Jarek's maybe last day at gymnastics, and we didn't really do anything cool. All we did was a lot of conditioning. Annoying! Because he last day, we should do fun stuff, not un-fun stuff. But we did vault, and that's pretty fun. But that's about it. And we tried to see how fast we could do a rope, and I made eleven seconds. And that's it.

Sleepover 2

This week Jarek had a sleepover at my house and it was really fun because it was after gymnastics and we didn't do any conditioning at gymnastics I don't think.

The sleepover was so fun I can't really describe it. We played legos for two hours, and then I showed Jarek this computer game called Age of Empires III and then he played a bit of it. We played downstairs for a little bit. We almost finished Ratatouille. And that's about it.

Lego spaceship

Today I built a lego spaceship thing that had an office for my favorite lego guy and his personal bodyguard droid. It had a speeder with all the equipment that they needed, a freeze laser rack in case they needed to chase down some bad guys they could have some soldiers come and grab the freeze lasers.

My friend Indiana made these delicious cupcakes. They had chocolate and chocolate icing, and normally I don't like chocolate icing, but this icing tasted like pure fudge. He also put chocolate rocks on them. Yum.

I'm in the last Artemis Fowl book.

The End.

Gymnastics

Last week I bought an Ironman action figure, even though I'm not extremely into action figures. It had a missile launcher that actually launched.

I landed a front layout at gymnastics.

In Artemis Fowl, I'm in the second to last book. I finished the fourth earlier today. I finished the third yesterday, and the second two days before that.

Power Outage

We're almost done with Watership Down, which is kind of a bummer because I like it. A lot.

I had my last day of speech therapy ever Thursday before last, and we went to my grandparents house and that was fun.

My cousin Jarek is going to move and buy a new house.

The night before last night there was a thunderstorm and the power went out. While we were on a way back from gymnastics there was a tree in the middle of the road. It was only blocking one lane. And there was also a port-a-potty in the middle of the road, and there was also a good-sized branch in the middle of the road. And it took us five minutes to drive by all that stuff. During the thunderstorm we ate PB & J by candlelight and read Watership Down.

Front flips

I'm having my last day of speech therapy, EVER, this Thursday (tomorrow) and we're going to our grandparents house on the same day, and that's going to be fun.

At gymnastics I landed four jump-jump, front tucks in a row on the tumble track. And I landed three or four front pikes.

Tuesday, May 18, 2010

Bowling

We went bowling and I beat my cousin Jarek, even though he's better than me. We actually tied at 91 but I didn't get to go on my last turn so I probably would have beaten him because all I would have had to do is knock one thing down and I'd gotten two strikes already.

Also I played a computer game, Age of Empires. I won all three times that I played

Artemis Fowl

Today I finished Artemis Fowl and I started it last night. It was interesting. It was about this genius kid who kidnaps a fairy to get gold, or get rich. That's all that I want to say about Artemis Fowl.

At gymnastics I did front flip, half-turn. My mom says I was doing good at it.

Thursday, May 13, 2010

I can't think of a good title.

Last night I did some front tucks on the tumble track and landed them, minus the front handspring. I also did some front handsprings on the floor. And I did five ropes in a row. Hard but fun. Ish.

I'm saving my money for a really big Lego set called the Venator Class Republic Attack Cruiser. It's $100 and 1,170 pieces.

Gymnastics

I got a new Lego magazine today.

We're reading "Watership Down" and it's pretty interesting. We're in part III.

I think I might have twisted my ankle last night at gymnastics because it hurts when I walk. I landed a front flip on the tumble track--not tumble track to the blue mat, just on the trampoline. I got to leave early last night because I did a front handspring and so my mom gives me the reward that every time a do a front handspring the right way I get a night off where I get to leave 30 minutes early.

Sleepover

I don't want to write anything.

Burrrrrrp.

I was trying to do a front flip at gymnastics, but I messed up. And I think I did a kind of round-off without my hands and I ended up facing the opposite direction I started in. I think it I did a half-turn front flip.

I landed a couple front flips from the tumble track onto the blue mat.

I had a sleepover at Jarek's house, and that was fun.

A new lego set.

Yesterday I bought a lego set--the clone walker battle pack. It's pretty cool and I've been wanting it for a few weeks.

And today we baked shortbread again.

And we did gymnastics yesterday and I almost did a round-off, back tuck on the tumble track. It was pretty fun. We had rope races and it took me 12 seconds to get the top. Also on vault I did a front handspring, front tuck.

Baking Day

This morning we baked shortbread and had bacon and eggs for breakfast. Yum yum.

Last Thursday, a film crew from KENS5 came and filmed our gymnastics place, and yesterday morning, we got to see ourselves on TV.

Here is the
video.

What I did today

Today I read "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and I started it today too. And we did gymnastics, and the events we did were floor, p-bars, rings, pommel horse and high bar. I didn't do high bar though.

Three games

Today we went to church and played three games, which was a little strange. The first one was with some of my Lego guys. We played a game with these secret agents. There was no fighting in it. And then we played a game where we flew in a space ship and there were some specific problems we had to solve. And last we played a game with these little blocks, and we played it for about an hour and fifteen minutes. I had fun.
